Privacy Policy
Effective / Last Updated: August 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Take The Leap Consulting, LLC (“Take The Leap Consulting,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with our website (taketheleapconsulting.com) and our services, which include strategy and growth consulting, website design and hosting, and AI-powered business services such as AI front-desk / virtual receptionist services, AI-assisted telephone interactions, appointment scheduling, CRM and customer communications, SMS/text messaging, email, lead and contact management, and related automation (collectively, the “Services”).
By using our website or Services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or Services.
1. Two Roles: Our Own Purposes vs. Services Provided to Clients
We handle information in two distinct capacities, and this distinction matters:
- As a business (data controller). When we operate our website, market our Services, respond to inquiries, manage prospects, and administer our own client relationships, we determine how and why information is used. This Policy governs that activity.
- As a service provider to our business clients (data processor). When we deliver Services on behalf of a business client — for example, answering that client’s phone calls, sending messages to that client’s customers, or managing that client’s CRM — we process information on that client’s behalf and under their instructions. In those cases, the business client is responsible for its own privacy practices and for the notices and consents provided to its customers. Our handling of that information is governed primarily by our agreement with that client, and the client’s own privacy policy typically applies to its customers. If you are a customer of one of our business clients and have questions about your data, please contact that business directly.
2. Information We Collect
The categories of information we may collect include:
- Information you provide directly: name, business name, email address, phone number, mailing or service-area information, the contents of forms, messages, chats, emails, and calls, appointment and scheduling details, and information you share during consultations or onboarding.
- Communications content and metadata: the content of telephone calls, text messages, emails, and chat interactions handled through the Services, along with related details such as date, time, phone number, and message status.
- Information collected automatically: device and usage information such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring pages, and similar analytics data collected through cookies and related website technologies (see “Cookies and Website Technologies”).
- Information processed on behalf of business clients: contact and communications data belonging to a client’s own customers or leads, which we process to provide the Services to that client (see “Two Roles” above).
- Billing and transactional information: information needed to invoice and administer paid engagements. Payment card processing, where applicable, is handled by third-party payment processors.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, configure, monitor, maintain, and improve the website and Services;
- Answer calls and messages, schedule and confirm appointments, follow up on inquiries, and route communications;
- Respond to your requests, provide customer support, and communicate with you about your account or engagement;
- Manage leads, contacts, and CRM records for us and, where applicable, for our business clients;
- Send transactional and service-related messages;
- Send marketing communications only where you have provided appropriate consent or where otherwise permitted by law (see “Your Privacy Choices” and “SMS/Text Messaging Privacy”);
- Maintain the security and integrity of our systems, prevent fraud and abuse, and troubleshoot issues;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
4. AI-Assisted Telephone Interactions and Communications
Certain Services use artificial intelligence to help answer and assist with telephone calls, text messages, chat, and email — for example, an AI front-desk / virtual receptionist that can greet callers, answer common questions, capture messages, qualify inquiries, and help schedule appointments. AI-assisted interactions are designed to identify themselves appropriately and to route urgent or unusual matters to a person where configured to do so.
Where enabled for a given account and permitted by applicable law, telephone calls and other communications handled through the Services may be recorded, transcribed, summarized, and/or logged in order to provide, document, monitor, and improve the Services. Whether recording or transcription occurs — and any related notices or consents — depends on the configuration of the specific account and on applicable law, which in some jurisdictions may require notifying participants or obtaining consent. Business clients are responsible for ensuring that any recording, transcription, or messaging they enable through the Services complies with the laws that apply to them and to their customers.
5. SMS/Text Messaging Privacy
This section applies to text (SMS/MMS) messages sent or received through the Services.
- Consent and opt-in. We send marketing or recurring text messages only to individuals who have opted in through an appropriate consent mechanism. Submitting a form or otherwise contacting us does not, by itself, enroll you in marketing text messages; consent for text messaging is obtained separately through a clear opt-in.
- Opting out. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
- We do not sell your SMS consent. SMS consent and opt-in information are not sold or provided to third parties for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
6. Cookies and Website Technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and local storage) to operate the site, remember preferences, understand how the site is used, and improve performance. Some technologies are necessary for the site to function; others help us with analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect how the website works. Where a live chat widget or similar tool is present, it may set its own cookies to function.
7. Service Providers and Processors
We use trusted third-party service providers to help us operate the website and deliver the Services. These may include providers of website hosting and infrastructure, telephony and voice services, SMS/text messaging, email delivery, CRM and communications platforms, scheduling, analytics, and payment processing. These providers process information only as needed to perform services for us and are expected to protect the information consistent with this Policy and applicable law. We do not authorize them to use information received through the Services for their own independent marketing purposes.
8. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information:
- With service providers and processors, as described above, to operate the website and provide the Services;
- With a business client, when we are processing information on that client’s behalf;
- With subcontractors that support the Services (for example, customer service), consistent with the SMS section above;
- When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of our Services;
- In connection with a business transaction such as a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
9. Data Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, operate our business, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Information we process on behalf of a business client is retained and deleted in accordance with our agreement with that client and their instructions. When information is no longer needed, we take steps to delete or de-identify it.
11. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
You have choices about your information:

12. Children’s Privacy
Our website and Services are intended for businesses and adults and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate steps.
13. Third-Party Links
Our website may link to third-party websites or services that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
